Home Again, Home Again

Not too much has happened since we moved back to Vegas.  Mostly lots of unpacking and laundry and cleaning and yard work.  We've just been trying to get things ready for the new school year.
I did cut all my hair off.  That was exciting :)  I LOVE it too!!!!  So much easier!!
Kalvin's hair is getting quite long and out of control.  haha  Brad really wants to cut it, but I just cant bring myself to do it!!
Brad got new glasses!  Well, we both did, but he looks way better in his :)
Kalvin is finally a good and happy sleeper!!  He looks forward to his 2 hour nap every afternoon.  He gets so excited when I take him in to his bedroom and turn the lights off.  He also has learned how to go back to sleep on his own when he wakes up in the night.  So, he generally sleeps between 11 and 12 hours at night!!
The best part though, is that he puts himself to sleep!!!  That means I have a little bit of freedom again :)
Clark is Clark.  Crazy and adorable and growing so fast and learning so much.  He says the weirdest stuff and we have no idea where he hears it or thinks of it.  His new favorite is, "Im roskin' Im rollin".  No idea where it came from.
A few days ago we found this awesome kid's rocking chair at a thrift store.  Brad sanded it down for me :)
Then I went to painting.  We painted it black and then apple green over that and then sanded down some of the corners so that the black would show through to give it kind of an antique look.
I wish the green was a little darker, but I still love it.
Not a great picture, but you can kinda see the antiquing
For the first day of school, Clark and I decided to make a chocolate cream pie to celebrate
It turned out pretty and delicious!  I love it when that happens!
I bought some new teacups.  For those of you who dont know me well, I LOVE teacups and collect them like a crazy person.  These ones are just so pretty and springy, I had to get them!
After Clark saw me painting the rocking chair, he really wanted to paint too.  So thats what we did today.
His masterpieces :)

Brad's Birthday!!!

Brad's Birthday this year was pretty chill.  We spent the whole day before driving home from Idaho.  We got home pretty late and were all exhausted.  So, we all slept in on Brad's Birthday.
Brad didnt want me to get him any gifts this year.  We have so little money that he decided he'd rather pool his Birthday money with his Christams money.  Soooo... Clark and Kalvin got him a few things :)  Clark picked out some weird tool that I knew Brad didnt have and than Kalvin gave him a few new "guy" movies.
We spent the day relaxing.  We watched The Olympics and Clark helped me make a cake.
Later we rode our bikes down to the park
Brad wanted "surf and turf" for dinner
One sad little cake :)  But it tasted good!!
Happy Birthday to my favorite person in the world!!!

Anniversary Celebration

While we were in Idaho, my parents offered to take the kids off our hands so we could go celebrate our Anniversary!!  It was so sweet of them.  We had a lot of fun seeing Boise and eating delicious food!!!
I love being married :)
