Ethan Scott Robison

Ethan Scott Robison

Yesterday Brad's brother Scott and his wife Emily had their 2nd baby!!  Can you even believe how cute he is?!  Its killing us not being there to hold him and love him.  He looks so much like his big sister, Brielle and I just love it.  I am so happy that all these baby cousins are being born right around the same time as our little boy!!  Although its just killing me that we still have 3 MONTHS before we get to have our boy here.  Oh well.  We are next in line to have a baby on the Robison side and 2nd in line on the Merkley side, so we are almost there!

Getting Ready For Fall

This last week went by SO fast.  Its crazy!!!  And I feel like this next week is just going to be twice as busy.  Oh its exhausting just looking at our calendar.  But we have been busy with pretty much only good things, so we really can't complain too much.  Brad and I both had to speak in church, and I was just dreading it, but we got through it.  Always such a good feeling to have that over with!  And Brad did an amazing job.  He is such a good speaker.
I have been feeling so pregnant lately.  I am officially in my 3rd trimester now.  Yay!!  My mind is completely one hundred percent gone.  I cant remember anything and have just got use to always having that feeling like I am forgetting something.  All I can really think about is baby stuff.  Especially with two nephews just being born... I just want my baby!!  Brad is ready too I think.  Our two boys are just so big and active now, Brad says he needs a little one to hold and snuggle during upcoming football games ;)
These two are just the best of friends!!  They just play all day long.  Clark has started saying that he needs 'alone time' when he gets sad or frustrated by something and he just goes in and lays on his bed for a while.  Well, the other day he got upset that about something and yelled, 'I just need some alone time!  Come on Kalvin.' So he and Kal went and laid on their beds together.  haha  So sweet.  I know its only a matter of time before Kalvin is driving him crazy and he's not wanting his kid brother tagging along everywhere he goes, so I try to enjoy their sweetness while it lasts.
I have been trying my best at making more healthy, but also cheap dinners every night.  Not so easy when the only market in town is outrageously expensive.  I have been pinning recipes like crazy and I am trying to rekindle my love for my crockpot.  It sure has been a while.
Thursday night was the Lovelock 'back to school night' so we went down and got Clark all ready to go.  We turned in all of his paperwork, so he is officially registered.  For Kindergarteners, the first week of school is actually just placing them in the right class.  So tuesday we will take him down and he'll take a little test and then on thursday they will let us know what class he is in and who his teacher is.  So his first day of school wont actually be until September 2nd.  He's been nervous, but excited.  I have just been a mess, but I wont bore you with all of my mommy anxiety.
Tom and Jerry is a little too intense for him somedays.  haha
Kalvin has been going through some sort of crazy angelic phase.  He has his moments still, but I have gone a whole day, several times, without having to get after him even once and that just seems insane to me.  He has always been a little bit of a trouble maker, and Clark a perfect angel, but they have sorta switched roles.  I think all of the changes that have taken place this year has affected Clark more than it has anyone and he's been acting out a little more and testing his boundaries.  But Kalvin I guess is just coming into himself more and has been quite content and happy.  Maybe this is just a tender mercy from the Lord as we try to prepare ourselves for another baby.  Heaven knows that I get somewhat overwhelmed at the thought of 3 babies.
Have you ever seen someone so happy to be eating a giant doughnut!?  haha
As busy as we've been, we've of course made time for some fun things.  We love our fruit smoothies and we love watching movies on our lovely new couch.  We go for walks when the evenings aren't too hot and   I may have made a mistake surprising the boys with a new mario game for the wii, but Clark just loves it so much.  And playing it with his Dad makes him happier than anything.  So when Dad gets home from work, if dinners not quite ready, they play together and Clark gets so excited.  He tells me all day how awesome Dad is at wii games.
So things are going well for us.  We are just enjoying life and getting ready for all of the changes that are going to come this Fall.  Its going to keep being a crazy year for us, I think, right up until the end, but I guess thats just how some years go.

Parker Erik Robison

Parker Erik Robison

On August 12th we got a brand new, perfect little nephew!!!  Brad's brother Erik and his wife Christy, who live forever away in Oklahoma, were kind enough to give the family a sweet new baby to squish and love.  Although they live in Oklahoma, so thats not going to be as easy ;)  Christy has been having contractions for week and weeks and weeks and we were all thinking this little boy was going to join the world in July for sure, but he decided to keep us guessing and only arrived 4 days before his due date.  Anyway, isn't he just so perfect?!  We can't wait to meet this boy!!

Dutch Oven, Mark Twain & Merkleys

Is there anything in the world better than spending the weekend with a couple of Merkleys?  The only thing I can think to compare it to is spending the weekend with a couple Robisons.  So we were lucky enough to have Nathan and Kaitlin drive out from SLC to spend a few days here in exciting Lovelock.  They were thoroughly impressed, I am sure ;)  They got here Friday night and we spent the night watching Friends and talking... that is, after Clark and Kal got done showing them all of their books and went to bed.
Saturday we all slept in (the boys kinds slept) and had some pancakes and played some wii and were super lazy and it was wonderful.
Later we took them on a tour of Lovelock and the Brad's clinic and then up the mountain to a ghost town and a little cooler weather.
Kaitlin is always trying to be like me....or is it that Im always trying to be like her?  I dont know for sure, but I do know that it means that we are both blonde and sometimes both wear blue and talk lots about babies, cause is there anything better in the world to talk about!? Well.. besides cheesecake.
In the ghost town we went to still stands a house that Mark Twain lived in, which was pretty cool to see!
In the park that we decided to stop at there were tons of fruit trees
And the boys were loving picking and eating it all
There were quite a few deer around doing the same thing
most angelic little face
And this boy just makes me laugh so much
Possibly our last family photo of us being only a family of 4!!!
(Clark is super grumpy.  He detests taking pictures.  I always have to bribe him with a lollipop and if I dont have one... well, the photo ends up looking like this)
Nate and Kait :) :) :)
We decided to be somewhat ambitious and Brad cooked us dutch oven potatoes and chicken and it was seriously amazing!!!
I have always said that Kalvin looks exactly like Nathan, so to me, this picture looks like Nathan having a conversation with his past self... and it freaks me out.
Although it is fun to think about Nathan and Kaitlin having a little boy one day that looks like Nathan.. so in turn, looks like Kalvin.  They'd be like cousin twins.
I cant believe that the next time we see each other, Nate and Kait are going to have a baby!!!  That this kicking little girl chilling in Kaitlin's belly is going to be out and I can hold her and stuff.  So exciting!!!  I am so glad that we got to be pregnant together!!!!
After the sun went down and we were all played out, we went back home and had banana splits and put the babies to bed on a serious sugar high
Then on Sunday we did absolutely nothing, but eat and talk until they had to pack up and leave.  So annoying that they dont live right nextdoor to us.  One day we are going to have to remedy that.  But in the meantime, we will enjoy our weekends with them!!!

Brad's 29th Birthday

When I asked Brad what he wanted for his birthday, he told me that he wanted to surprise me.  Kinda backwards, I know, but he talked me into it ;)  So on the Saturday before his birthday we piled in the car after making the boys chocolate-chip pancakes for the first time and started driving.  I had no idea where we were going and Brad was thoroughly enjoying pretending to exit at weird places to confuse me.
Eventually we landed in Truckee, CA.  We've been wanting to go see it for a while.
It was super cute.  Way too crowded, but awesome.  I love all the old buildings and mountains.  Just beautiful.
There is some famous diner there called Jax that we ate at.  It was really pretty good.
After lunch we decided to drive to one of our favorite places in the whole entire world!!!  Lake Tahoe!!!  We thought since we were already on the California side, we may as well drive around the whole entire lake so we could see the whole thing.  Kal got a little car-sick and threw up, but we cleaned him up and he fell asleep and he was fine, thank heavens.
We drove by this gorgeous house right on the lake that I think we will just have to buy, because we love it so much.  Its probably only like a million dollars...
And there it is
Just so beautiful
We didn't want to leave
So we found a beach that wasn't too crowded and decided to stop for a little bit
Almost 6 months along photo :)
Cant handle that face
Or that one
Clark loved the water, but Kalvin was more excited about the rocks and the seagulls
And the sand
This guy is my favorite and I love that for HIS birthday he wanted to do something to surprise his family.  He is so wonderful!!
We had such a good day, eating and driving and playing Power Rangers in the waves at the lake.
Sweet babies :)
We left as it started to rain and then stopped in Reno for some groceries and Wendy's, cause we were starving.  Okay, I was starving.  This baby is making me ravenous every moment of the day.  The boys were soaked from playing in the water, so we stripped them down to their undies and diaper and wrapped them in blankets.. and then of course Clark had to pee.  So we just put my jacket on him to take him in to the bathroom and he looked like E.T. hahaha
Happy Birthday to the love of my life!!!!  I never thought that happiness could be so easy, but with Brad, it really is.  There is not a single day I haven't laughed since I met him and I am so lucky I have him.
