Goals

When I was working, I LOVED that I had certain tasks everyday that needed to be done and that at the end of the work day, I could go home and have that sense of accomplishment.  I could relax, because I knew that whatever I needed to get done, was done.  Well, when I quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom, I really, really, really missed that!!  Being a stay at home mom is a never-ending combination of tasks.  There is never a "going home and being able to relax, cuz the job is done" time.  Anyway, I was missing that sense of accomplishment.  So I decided to make two goals for myself everyday.  Now, obviously, I do a whole lot more than two things everyday.  But on top of all the cleaning and cooking and feeding and diapers and what not, I have started having two official goals.  They change everyday.  Some days they are, "Clean the whole house and Weed the back yard/garden"  Most days its more like, "Do three loads of laundry and eat a healthy dinner"  And then there are even some days that are, "Play with the kids and read a few chapters in your book".  Im telling you, its totally working for me!!  At the end of the day, I feel so much more relaxed and like there is an official "end of the day".  haha  I dont know why I need that.  maybe Im weird.  But in the evenings, I totally dont feel guilty when the kids go to bed if I just read or play on pinterest.  Its wonderful!  I also have some long-term goals that I've been working on.
I want to learn how to run!  That may sound so stupid to some people, I've never really done it.  My exercise was always dancing.  But now that Im not doing that, I decided to learn to run.  Ive always wanted to.  (yes, Clark took this picture when he knew I wouldnt catch him playing the camera, cuz I was distracted.  Its not a very flattering picture, but its accurate.  haha  Me running isnt real pretty.)
Eating healthier!!  Its so important and there is always room for improvement!!
I've always wanted to read the book "War and Peace" but its always intimidated me so much!!  Here goes nothing.
Organize, oraganize, organize!!!

Wish Me Luck

My Parents Are Moving

Today I went out to Logandale to say goodbye to my parents and brothers and sister.  They are moving to Caldwell, Idaho this weekend.

I was way more sad and nostalgic than I thought I would be.  They moved into that house the September before I turned 12.  Its just so weird that I wont be going home to that house ever again!

We are sooo excited for their next big adventure and so happy that Heather will be in a place that can better meet her needs.  And, we cant wait to go visit them in beautiful Idaho.  But oh my gosh are we gonna miss them!!!

I've Crossed Over

Yep.  I have deer antlers hanging on a wall in my house.  Granted, its just in Brad's office and not in the centre of my livingroom, but its still something I thought I would never do.  Actually its something I swore I'd never do.  I married Brad knowing how much he loved hunting, knowing that he would take our kids hunting, knowing that I would probably have to go at some point too.  But I always said that hanging "animal parts" in my house was just way too creepy.  But, when Brad brought home these antlers from a deer he shot (yes, thats a bullet hole right through the base of the right antler) when he was younger and looked at me with those big green eyes, how was I suppose to say no?  I guess I love him a lot :)

The Fair

The Clark County Fair was a lot of fun this year!!  Every year seems to be crazy and rushed and trying to do too much.  This year we only went one day for a few hours.  For the few hours that we were there, the weather was perfect and it wasnt too crowded.  Plus, Clark being older made it all more fun and exciting!!

The little guy was pretty happy in his stroller just watching people and being freaked out everytime there was a gust of wind

We had a traditional fried fair food lunch.  Brad got BBQ and Clarky and I had a corn dog.  This was the best family picture we got. haha Oh well.

Watching the intense pig races

The best part was watching Clark go on rides for the first time.  He was soooo excited!!!  Of course he wanted to go on the motorcycle ride first.  He was so serious the whole time.  Couldnt get one smile out of him.

Again, so serious

Finally a little smile

But going on the big slide with dad is what really got him :)

Still pretty happy, but he started to get a little cold

The Fair was awesome this year!!!

Not Fun!!

I have Pink Eye!!  This is a first for me and it SUCKS!!!  I think the infection has spread too, cuz I have a cold on top of all of it.  The worst part is that other people can catch it for like two weeks.  Why did this have to happen over my brothers wedding??  Why did this have to happen when my sister is visiting for only a few more days from New Zealand and who knows when I will get to see her again??  Why does Brad have to go to school while Im sick??  Not great timing!!  So I guess this is gonna be my life for the next little while :(
