Last Days of Spring

I haven't updated this in a little bit.  Every time I have sat down to do it, I've thought, wait more stuff is happening, I should wait.  And then crap just kept happening.  Not to mention we have all had this awful cold that we have been passing back and forth to each other for like 3 weeks.  Its been super fun.

But even with the sickies, we have stayed pretty busy.

But no matter how busy we get, we always have to make time for Kal and Scout's morning cartoon.

It been raining here for like 2 weeks straight.  Pouring rain all day everyday.  Its been amazing!!!!

I love the rain so much

And all this rain has made all the plants and flowers in our yard go crazy

But now that its warmed up so much and the rain has passed, its officially time to start gardening

Flowers are blooming everywhere and I only have tons and tons more to plant!

Brad found a couple amazing deals on the FB yardsale one weekend!  We got a basketball hoop for the boys, who now spend all their time playing basketball, and a really nice grill!!  I can't wait to start BBQing again!

Needless to say, we are prepping for a Summer outside!  Cannot wait!

Its so close, I can almost taste the homemade salsa and sleeping in and swimming and hiking and reading and all the gloriousness that is Summertime.

Jonas finally cut two teeth.  Yay!!  He was working on those for weeks and weeks.  He is much happier now.  And he loves chomping on everything, so watch out when you're holding him.  He scoots his way around the house, chasing his brothers and the dog and exploring every tiny corner and crevice in our house.  He has reached an extra clingy phase where he screams his heart out if I leave the room.  Or even take one step away from where he is.  Oh he is one exhausting boy, but I love him so.

Kalvin has had a rough time with this cold.  Its made his asthma go nuts, as always and he hates his breathing treatments so much.  But he is a trooper and gets through it everyday.  I took him in for more in depth allergy testing and it was a looooong day in Reno that started with Kalvin throwing up in the car, because he was coughing so hard, so I had to rush to target to clean him up and buy clean clothes before the doctor and ended with him screaming and crying because they had to "poke" him 32 times for the testing.  It was sad.  But we found out that he is not allergic to anything else, so thats good, but we still aren't sure where we go from here.  The doctor said that his allergies might not even be contributing to his asthma at all.  Not super impressed with his Allergist, so I think we are actually going to go see a pediatric pulmonologist.  Wish us luck :)

But other than all the allergy/asthma crap, Kal is great.  He is so much fun and so crazy and he is so ready to grow up.  He wants to go to school like Clark and he wants to play baseball like Clark and he wants to ride a bike like Clark and he just wants to be big in every way, like Clark.  Its funny though to see him try to be so grown up... but then still want me to rock him or still want to play with Jo's baby toys.  Kinda caught in the middle.  haha

As for Clark, he has had lots going on lately!  I feel like for weeks, we've had something going on everyday with him.  Probably the biggest thing though was Kindergarten Graduation.

Guys, its like a HUGE deal here in Lovelock.

And just the cutest thing ever

They were up on stage and did a whole program with songs and each Kindergartener walked across the stage to get a certificate and say what they wanted to be when they grow up.  It was so adorable.  Clark was so excited and sang and smiled.  And he said that he wanted to be a Fire Fighter.

Clark and his teacher, Ms. Mitchell.  We have loved her and all the work she has done this last year.

So proud :)

Kalvin was so excited too

Clark and his friends, Julia and Sadie

It was such a fun day!  I'm going to cry my eyes out the next time I see him in a cap and gown...

After Graduation we went with some friends to get some ice cream to celebrate

We had a good Memorial Day weekend.  We were suppose to go to Idaho to see family, but our colds got the best of us and pinkeye made its way into Clark's and Jonas' little eyes and we were just so tired, it didnt happen.  So we played games and watched movies and tried to get some naps in.  It wasn't as exciting as a road trip, but I think its what we needed.

It was pretty cold one night, so we got the boys and went for a little night swim in the hot tub.  I looooove that hot tub so much!!  So do the little ones.

For Memorial Day we went down to the court house to watch a little program and see them unfold the flag and then walk it down Main Street and hoist it up on the giant flag pole by the freeway.

Kal helped carry it down Main, but got tired half way through and ran back to us.

Clarky had his last baseball game!

They had to cancel a bunch of games, because of the rain, but luckily they were able to play their last one.

After the game, his coach had a little party for his team on the field.  They had pizza and cupcakes and a water balloon fight.  Clark thought it was just the greatest thing ever.

He has absolutely LOVED baseball!!  He told me that he is going to miss it as much as he misses living at Grandma Robison's house.  In case you were wondering, thats a lot ;)

So yesterday was Lovelock Elementary's Track & Field Day.  I guess its a whole big thing.  Clark was in 4 different events.  We got there at 9am and were there for like 5 hour.  In the heat.  It was a very long day, but so fun.  Clark was one of only two Kindergarteners who ran the 400 meter race.  He rocked it!  He ran around the entire track without even slowing down.  I couldnt believe it.  He came in second and was super tired after.  I was at the finish line and he just walked straight to me and kinda just fell on me and laid there for a while.  I told him that I thought that he needed to go back to his class and he just said "I just need you for a minute mom."  Awwe!!  I wanted to cry.  Also, halfway through the day, he came down and found me and said that he needed some money, because Sadie was hungry and he needed to get her a snack.  haha  I was dying, it was so cute!  So I took him over and let him buy he and Sadie some snow cones.  He picked bubble gum for her and it was just the sweetest thing watching him carefully walk back to where his class was sitting with two snow cones.  Hes such a little gentleman :)

Little buddy doing the long jump.  So cute.  Brad was able to be there to see this one, luckily!  Clark was so proud of himself!

We got to end the day with some friends coming over to play and eat dinner.  Clarky is just going to die when his best friend, Sadie moves this Summer.

But this morning Clark woke up at 5:30am just ready and waiting to go to school.  This is him skipping out to his last day as a Kindergartener.  He did it!!  Its the last day of school.  I can't believe it.  I keep thinking back to his very first day of school and how emotional I was and how tiny he seemed and now here we are, already done.  I am so proud of him and how hard he has worked this year!  He's learned so much and made so many friends and just grown up so much.  He has earned a good, long, amazing Summer!!!
